We swung by the Pleasure Principle and Friends concept store Eva NY last night for the unveiling of an installation by Australian based clothing and art collective; ffiXXed! Most garments are made with natural fibers boasting a one of a kind piece and are meant to be unisex. The new collection is full of the signature drapey shirts and sweaters in really unique materials- we especially loved the woodgrain pullover(see pic).

While at Eva we enjoyed a cocktail, chatted with the founder and had fun trying on the different jewelry, accessories and perfumes the store carries. If you haven’t stumbled upon this Bowery Boutique yet we highly recommend checking out the goods; everything from Henrik Vibskov to Factory by Erik Hart!

A legend has passed on, @sassoonsalons.  We won’t be surprised to see 60s inspired, angled bobs and short cuts crop up on runways and the streets.  RIP Vidal Sassoon!

We imagine the mind of director Tim Burton to be a complex (and characteristically ominous) spider web of fantasy, humor, and dark romanticism. In honor of the impending release of Dark Shadows (May 11th in the U.S.), here’s a look back at some of his most notable characters and the iconic looks they embodied, plus a glance at the newest crop of Burton-creations.

Last night was filled with the greatness that is @Burberry at their launch for the latest collection of sunglass wear! The space was at their SoHo store on Spring Street, and the night was enchanted by the subtle voice and one of the faces for Burberry Eyewear, Marika Hackman. With her soothing voice, combined with the ideal coffeehouse like atmosphere, it was surprising that after her performance, there was a quiet hysteria about her! “This is my first time playing in front of a fashion crowd” tells the British born newcomer, whose vibe felt like we were reconnecting with an old friend. She spoke about her time on set, making the eyewear video, and the most surprising part was when she confessed that she has not met the man behind the brand, Christopher Bailey, but we feel that that meeting will come really soon!

“I first came across Marika’s music when Cara Delevingne, who is currently in our ad campaign, showed me her video. She has an incredible voice and a wholly unique sound – she really symbolises modern British music in a very personal, effortless way”

Christopher Bailey, Burberry Chief Creative Officer

Burberry + Marika feels like kismet! Here are some photos of the event, filled with fashion insiders, and a sea of models, including the current face, Cara Delevingne! Smashing!
